Fire Station #8 is located in the Sea Isle subdivision and protects the far west end of Galveston Island. The station crew was originally housed in a beach house until a permanent station was built at its current location in the early 1990s. Station 8's area is primarily residential with numerous multimillion-dollar dwellings and resort-style complexes. Station 8 is unprotected by the Galveston Seawall.
