The City of Galveston will serve as a free drive-thru COVID-19 testing site on Friday, December 18. The state will provide free testing at Fire Station 5, 5728 Ball Street, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Testing is sponsored by the State of Texas and managed by the Texas Division of Emergency Management. A photo ID is the only item required for testing.
We encourage all residents to get tested. COVID-19 does not always cause symptoms in healthy people and identifying those cases early will help prevent community spread of the virus.
Visitors will enter from the courthouse parking lot on the north side of the fire station from and exit to the front of the station. There will be cones and staff coordinating traffic.
