Temporary water service interruptions will continue at properties in the blocks surrounding 25th Street as part of the 25th Street reconstruction project. The water service interruptions are necessary to install water valves. For most properties, the service interruption is expected to last one day (during the hours listed.) In some cases, it could take longer (up to three days, though this is not anticipated.)
We understand water service interruptions are a major inconvenience to residents and businesses, and ask for your patience with this process. Water service interruptions have already started and will continue with different areas being affected at different times. The contractor has placed door notices alerting residents to the water shutoff. These are generally placed on the front door, however, if a home has a gate or if the front door is inaccessible then it will be left on the gate or mailbox.
The next shutoff begins Friday, June 5. The window for the shut-off I 6/5-6/8, though residents will likely only experience the outage for one day.
Friday, June 5
The affected shutoff zone will include the following streets. If you live within this area, please plan for water service interruptions between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. In the event of an issue, the contractor might need to turn off the valves for an additional day or two. If you have a question about your home or business in particular, you may contact Main Lane at 713-896-3141 or the construction superintendent Roland Robarge at 713-429-2617.
