We’re accepting public comments for the 2020 Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships programs.
The U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) administers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Programs and has released the 2020 CDBG and HOME Funding Allocations. The City will receive CDBG funding of $1,214,844 and HOME funding of $275,681. CDBG and HOME Program Income has been estimated at a total of $50,000 (CDBG $20,000 and HOME $30,000). The 2020 CDBG & HOME Program Proposed Objectives and Projects and Site Map are available on the City’s Website at https://www.galvestontx.gov/1052/5-year-Consolidated-Plan. City Council reviewed these projects on March 24, 2020 with a consensus allowing the implementation of the citizen participation process. The projects will be submitted to Council for approval on April 30, 2020.
The City encourages citizen participation in the Consolidated Planning Process and is initiating a 30-Day Citizen Comment Period on the 2020 CDBG & HOME Program Proposed Objectives and Projects.
