Inspections are conducted on upgrading existing housing and buildings, existing signs, litter, junk/abandoned vehicles, weeded lots, and care of premises to prevent the spread of environmental decay.

The division licenses and enforces various permits including beach rentals, secondhand dealers, pawnbrokers, vending, gaming machines, temporary license to use, and also Permitting & Inspections of hotel/motel, rooming house/bed & breakfast and horse-drawn carriages.
