The mission of the Galveston Fire Marshal's Office is to educate our citizens, of all ages, in the prevention of fires and what to do in the event of a fire related emergency by providing programs and materials to schools, churches and civic organizations.
The Fire Marshal's Office continues to protect our citizens, as well as visitors to our city, by making annual fire prevention inspections to assure equipment and safety regulations are in compliance. The Fire Marshal's Office investigates all fires of a suspicious nature. Fire safety is the responsibility of all citizens and fire safety education is the responsibility of the Galveston Fire Marshal's Office.
