The Texas A&M University at Galveston 

Texas A&M Galveston is a special purpose institution of higher education with undergraduate and graduate instruction in maritime studies in science, engineering, and business. The institution is under the management and control of the Texas A&M University System with degrees offered under the name and authority of Texas A&M University at College Station. Students at Texas A&M Galveston originate from 42 different states and the District of Columbia. Science and engineering majors are 71% of the student body; 40% are women, and approximately 59% receive some type of financial aid.

University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston

Formally established in 1891 as the University of Texas Medical Department, UTMB has grown from one building, 23 students, and 13 faculty members to a modern health science center with multiple campuses and more than 3,200 students and 900 faculty members. UTMB is now in an era of unprecedented growth, with enrollment in its schools of Medicine, Nursing, Health Professions, and Biomedical Sciences steadily increasing since 2008.

Galveston College 

Galveston College provides the citizens of Galveston Island and the surrounding region with academic, workforce development, continuing education, and community service programs. The college serves about 2,300 students each semester in credit programs, and nearly 5,000 individuals annually in continuing education programs.
